The Heat’s DeAngelo Hamilton, Tran Dang Khoa, Chris Dierker and Trevon Hughes led the hosts to victory. Hamilton in particular shone, with 21 points, seven rebounds, four steals and four blocks, helping him win the player of the game title.

The American big man also dominated in defence alongside Kyle Barone, who ensured the first quarter ended with the Heat up 27-15.

In the second though, the visitors capitalised on Hamilton and Khoa’s misses from three to cut the score to 39-31.

Hamilton took over the game in the third quarter, leading his team to a commanding 59-48 lead.

The Slingers brought the game to within three points in the final stanza, but Hamilton soon reasserted his dominance and secured the 81-69 victory.

The Heat will next host San Miguel Alab Filipinas on March 24.
