The HCMC Conservatory of Music will host a “Classical Masterworks” concert by the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra at 8 p.m. on September 4.

In the concert, the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra will perform with two Chinese artists – conductor Cui Hongjia and pianist Cui Honggen.

music represent the classical era with characteristic poise and elegance. They include Mozart’s rarely performed first Symphony composed at the age of 8 in E Flat Major (KV.16), his much-loved Elvira Madigan piano concerto No.21 in C Major (KV.467) and Schubert’s delightful Symphony No. 5 in B Flat Major (D.485).

Making their debut with the Saigon Philharmonic, internationally acclaimed pianist Cui Honggen from China, who is a teaching assistant of Dang Thai Son, will perform alongside his brother Cui Hongjia, renowned conductor/music director of the Shenzhen Grand Theatre Philharmonic Orchestra.
