VietNamNet Bridge – A baby was killed and four people were injured during a thunderstorm in HCM City on September 4 afternoon. Motorbikes and a luxury car were damaged by fallen trees.

A Mercedes worth more than VND2 billion ($100,000) parked on Han Thuyen Road was damaged by fallen branches.
Mrs. Ly, 34, was lulling her 8-month-old daughter to sleep in their rented room in Quarter 5, Hiep Binh Phuoc Ward, Thu Duc District when a 1,500-liter water tank fell from the rooftop of a nearby four-storey house. The tank broke the tin roof of the rented room and killed the baby.
During the strong storm, fallen branches in the 30/4 Pak injured two men on a scooter on Han Thuyen Road, District 1.

At the same time, the top of a tree on Dien Bien Phu Road (Da Kao Ward, District 1) broke and fell down to the road, hitting two motorcycles and injuring two people.
Numerous trees on Nguyen Thai Binh, Nguyen Dinh Chieu, Hai Ba Trung Street... were also broken or uprooted.
On Highway 13 in Thu Duc District, many billboards fell. The tin roofs of three houses in Binh Thanh District were blown away.
