VietNamNet Bridge – The Disciplinary Board of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has decided to impose fines of VND100 million ($5,000) on Saigon Xuan Thanh FC and VND10 million ($500) on the team’s boss – Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thuy - for withdrawing from the V-League.

The team is also relegated to the Third Division Tournament from the next season and its achievement in the 2013 season is annulled. The club is asked to ensure the legal rights of its players after its withdrawal.

Thuy, who decided to quit the game, has to pay a VND10 million fine and is banned from football-related activities for five years.

Earlier, coach Tran Tien Dai and captain of Saigon Xuan Thanh FC were also subjects for disciplines but they are not fine because the decision of withdrawal was made by the boss – Mr. Thuy.

In addition to the penalty, the Board also determined that Saigon Xuan Thanh lost in a suit with striker Huynh Kesley Alves. The club will have to pay $29,000 and VND76.9 million ($3,800) to Kesley in the next 10 days.

Saigon Xuan Thanh FC is also imposed additional fine of VND5 million for violating the deadline to pay players under Clause 1, Article 72 of the VFF Disciplinary Rules.
