The newly added Android devices include a wide range of smartphones from major manufacturers. Samsung's supported lineup now includes the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S25 series - including the recently launched S25 Edge - as well as the Galaxy S24 family, foldable models such as the Z Flip7, Z Fold7, Z Flip6, Z Fold6, and the new Z TriFold.
For Google's own devices, the feature is available on the Pixel 10, Pixel 9 and Pixel 8a series. Other smartphone makers included in the announcement are HONOR with the Magic V6, OnePlus with the OnePlus 15, Xiaomi with the 17T Pro, OPPO with the Find X9 series and Find N6, and Vivo with the X300 series.
Google has streamlined the transfer process to make cross-platform sharing easier. On Android devices, users must enable the "Share with Apple devices" option, while iPhone users need to switch AirDrop visibility to "Everyone for 10 minutes" through the Control Center.
When sending files from an iPhone to an Android device, users simply use the standard AirDrop interface, while the Android recipient must activate Quick Share Receive mode.
For Android devices that are not compatible with the feature, the system can generate a QR code that enables content sharing through cloud-based services.
Although Google promotes the feature primarily as a bridge between Android smartphones and iPhones, Android users can also exchange files with Apple's iPad tablets and Mac computers.
In the coming months, Google plans to extend Quick Share compatibility to additional devices, including the Motorola Razr Fold 2026, the OPPO Find X8 series and the HONOR Magic8 Pro.
