Famous Vietnamese saxophonist Tran Manh Tuan has presented two new albums called “Thang Cuoi” (Legendary Shepherd on the Moon) and “Simply Soul”.

The albums were produced with more advanced recording techniques and through cooperation with leading local and foreign artists.

“Thang Cuoi” is a collection of songs highlighting traditional Vietnamese music values. Composed by Tuan for years, those songs are played with different wind instruments like saxophone, clarinet and flute.

The album is a joint work of Tuan, world-renowned pianist Allan Zavod and Japanese jazz band Kizan All Stars.

Zavod, which is from Australia, has been successful in the U.S., performed in tens of countries and composed music for more than 30 movies.

“Simply Soul” brings people closer to classic jazz music of the world. The album also features Zavod, Vietnamese Australian Kym Purling, Tass Petrisdis, a bass artist living and working in Melbourne, Australia, and American singer Melanine Wallace.
