Da Nang to have second software park

The second software park in the central city of Da Nang is under construction at a cost of VND800 billion (over US$34 million), according to the local Department of Information and Communications.

The software park is located on a total area of 28,573m2, in Thuan Phuoc ward, Hai Chau district. It will house a 20-storey ICT office building with total internal floor area of more than 26,000 sqm and two 8-storey ICT office blocks with combined internal floor area of nearly 66,500 sqm.

Once it is completed, the park will accommodate about 6,000 workers in the fields of information technology and digital technology.

According to the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, after more than one year of construction, 56% of the workload has been completed.

 

Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh said that the Da Nang Software Park No 2 plays a vital part in developing the local information technology (IT) industry, improve business climate and create a new engine for the city’s socio-economic development.

The first Da Nang Software Park, located in downtown Da Nang, comprises two buildings with a total of 10,000 square meters of space. It is home to 75 IT businesses, including 25 international companies who employ over 2,400 workers.
