Among them is Vietnam’s successful mastery of the design and manufacturing technology for armored vehicle products using domestic technology.

Vietnam has now independently designed and manufactured armored vehicles with locally developed technology.

These include the XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle and the XTC-02 armored personnel carrier combat vehicle.

This achievement has been officially recognized as one of the Ministry’s nine most notable science, technology and innovation highlights of 2025.

Below are the nine outstanding events and achievements selected by the Ministry of Science and Technology for 2025.

First, the National Assembly passed 10 laws in the fields of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation, creating a legal foundation for breakthrough development in these areas.

Second, the National Exhibition of Science, Technology, Innovation and Digital Transformation achievements was held to mark the 80th anniversary of National Day, alongside the special issuance of commemorative postage stamp sets celebrating major national milestones, including key historical anniversaries of 2025 and 2026.

Third, the Ninh Thuan nuclear power project was restarted, positioning it as a pillar of national energy security.

Fourth, Vietnam mastered the design and manufacturing technology for armored vehicles using domestic technology, notably the XCB-01 infantry fighting vehicle and the XTC-02 armored personnel carrier.

Fifth, Vietnam successfully mastered and applied next-generation NGS-SNP DNA analysis technology for identifying the remains of fallen soldiers.

Sixth, nationwide 5G coverage was rolled out, serving digital transformation while supporting national defense and security.

Seventh, the African swine fever vaccine AVAC ASF LIVE was researched, produced and commercialized internationally.

Eighth, Vietnam mastered and commercialized two specialized fuel products, Jet A-1K and DO L-62.

Ninth, the Hanoi Convention was recognized as a global milestone in the fight against cybercrime.
