The project ‘Vietnam’s Generals’ featuring sculptures of historical characters will make its public debut on Saturday at the National Museum of Vietnamese History, 28A Dien Bien Phut Street in Hanoi.

Visitors will be introduced to sculptures of famous generals Ly Thuong Kiet, Tran Hung Dao, Nguyen Hue and Vo Nguyen Giap.

The sculptures are made from portraits of the generals, with Ha Dung bringing Kiet to life, Dao will be cast by Vuong Duy Bien, King Nguyen Hue will be reproduced by Vuong Hoc Bao and Dang Xuan Hung will re-create Giap.

Moreover, during this event, Nguyen Doan Son will show off his sketches from the painting ‘Truong ca’ which is 16 meters long and depict the personal life and career of Giap.

The project, organized by Heritage Inns with Circle Group in collaboration with the Vietnamese History Association and UNESCO in Hanoi, aims to honor historic heroes in order to help the public learn more about their greatness and be proud of their victories as they fought to protect the country.

Also involved in the project are many historical experts such as Phan Huy Le, chairman of the Vietnam Association for Historical Science, historian Duong Trung Quoc, and Colonel Nguyen Huyen, who has been an assistant to General Vo Nguyen Giap for over 40 years.
