The Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang needs $68.8 million to fight coastal erosion, according to Nguyen Van Tam, Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
The Ministry of Transport said that building a sea dyke connecting the coastal regions of Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Tien Giang Province would disrupt the planning of seaports, inland waterways and coastal transport.
