VietNamNet Bridge – One week after the Southeast Asian Games 2011 in Indonesia, the Vietnam Olympic Committee honored the most outstanding athletes at a ceremony in Hanoi on November 29.



At the SEA Games 2011, Vietnam won 96 gold, 92 silver and 100 bronze medals, ranking third in the region.

The total bonus for medalists is VND1.123 billion. Specifically, athletes who broke Asian records received VND20 million ($1,000). The bonus for gold, silver and bronze medalists is VND5 ($250), VND3 ($150) and VND2 million ($100).

The bonus for teams is VND10 million ($500), VND7 million ($350) and VND5 million ($250) for gold, silver and bronze medals.

In addition, silver medalist wrestler Luong Thi Quyen and track-and-field athlete Nguyen Thi Phuong were presented VND5 and VND10 million, respectively for their efforts.

Athletes who suffered from injuries were given VND5 million.
