The conference offers a good opportunity for delegates to introduce the actual situation regarding integrated education for disadvantaged children, share experiences in developing various models of integrated education and devise orientations for future cooperation among SEAMEO member countries.
This is also a chance for Vietnamese educational managers and leaders to share and learn more about renovation and cooperation in the field across the region.
Addressing the conference, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Vinh Hien emphasized that Vietnam and other South East Asian nations have made great strides in recent times to develop integrated education for disadvantaged people through creating policies, training human resources, upgrading equipment and promoting research on education.
He said that the conference will focus on integrating education for children living in difficult circumstances and striving for a high quality education system that ensures equal opportunities for all.
