The second Vietnam International Tourism Fair will be organised at the Giang Vo Exhibition Centre in Hanoi from April 14-17 with various activities.
Under the theme ‘Vietnam – Heaven of Sea and Island Tourism’, thousands of sea and island tourism products will be showcased to local and international tourism businesses and tourists.
By the end of March, 502 booths were registered officially, including 115 stands of companies from 25 countries and territories, and 387 of local businesses from 42 provinces and cities across the country.
The honourary guest of the event is Russia with the participation of leaders from the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism (RFAT), an art troupe, 15 tour operators and tourism reporters from the European country. During the fair, the delegation will take part in artistic activities, conferences on tourism co-operation and development and open the RFAT’s representative office in Hanoi.
They will also visit and conduct surveys on tours in Hanoi, Binh Dinh and Phu Yen.
Three top tourism destinations of Vietnam - Hanoi, the northwest and the Central Highlands-Southern regions - will be key display areas.
According to President of the Vietnam Tourism Association Ha Van Sieu, Hanoi will be a highlight of this fair as the capital’s potential should be promoted.
Together with introductions of tours, new destinations, promotion of air fares and tours, other activities related to the profession, including workshops promoting and developing tourism, launching an online international tourism fair system, roadshows and traditional artistic and cultural performances, will be organised.
