As the country enters a new development phase, what significance does the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam hold for the development orientation of localities, including Dak Lak?
The 14th National Party Congress is a major political event with particularly important significance for Vietnam in the new development stage.
A very important point of the 14th Congress is to continue perfecting the strategic vision, clearly identifying major orientations, important decisions, focal goals, and main solutions to lead the country firmly into a new era of development, the era of higher and more sustainable development.
For localities, including Dak Lak, the 14th Congress not only provides strategic orientation and lays out highly action-oriented development directions for the 2026–2030 period with a vision to 2045, but also sets very specific requirements for improving leadership, governance, and execution capacity of Party committees and governments at all levels.
With the highest political determination, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee clearly identifies its responsibility to promptly study, concretize, and organize the implementation of the Resolution of the 14th Congress in line with practical conditions, fully promoting local potential and advantages; taking quality, efficiency, and sustainability as the primary benchmarks, thereby creating a solid foundation for the province’s development in the coming period.
With the spirit of the 14th Congress, what major orientations need to be thoroughly grasped to create unity in awareness and action across the entire political system and the people of the province?
First is unifying the orientation on development goals, building a modern and sustainable economy aiming for Vietnam to become a developing country with modern industry and higher middle income by 2030; and become a developed, high-income country by 2045, building a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized, and happy Vietnam, step-by-step advancing toward socialism.
Another major orientation is the clear requirement set by the 14th Congress for renewing thinking, improving the quality of human resources, and creating a new, more sustainable development ecosystem, with science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as the main drivers; increasing investment in science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation to create new growth drivers and enhance national competitiveness.
In addition, a new growth model is to be established, adapted to major global transitions such as digital transformation, green transition, energy transition, and workforce transition; emphasizing economic development linked with environmental protection and social security. These three pillars are considered the center of development.
The Congress also affirms that culture, heritage, and national identity are the spiritual foundation and soft power of Vietnam, alongside continued improvement in quality of life, social equity, and comprehensive human development.
