The 2024 Sao Khue Award recognized the emergence of technological solutions with the green transition trend, such as FPT's VertZéro, a greenhouse gas stocktaking software. Winning this year's Sao Khue Award in the innovation category, VertZéro Solution digitizes collection of environmental data, and calculates, manages, and makes emissions reports, meeting global standards frameworks on greenhouse gas emission reporting and removal.

"Green digital transformation - Global connection" was chosen by Vinasa as the message for the association's activities in 2024. Vinasa’s goal is to participate on promoting domestic and global cooperation with many new opportunities related to semiconductors and green economy.

Khoa said at the 21st Sao Khue award ceremony held on April 13 he had represented Vinasa at a government meeting on promoting economic diplomacy. At the meeting, IT was determined as one of the special key fields. Digital transformation, green transition and circular economy were defined as new economic pillars for Vietnam to reach the world market.

The government has assigned the ministries of Information and Communications, Foreign Affairs and Industry and Trade to fulfill their tasks to help the IT industry, together with traditional export fields, to reach out to the world.

“Vinasa’s officers and I met Vietnamese digital technology firms in foreign markets such as Japan and South Korea and we saw Sao Khue products appear in foreign markets,” he said. “I hope Sao Khue award will encourage businesses not only to provide products and services in the Vietnamese territories, but also bring Make in Vietnam products to the world."

Khoa noted that the government of Vietnam has decided that digital transformation and green growth will be one of the two core factors of economic restructuring and the growth model transition.

Amid the strong development of the global semiconductor industry, Vietnam has been chosen for an upcoming development strategy, with great advantages in its labor force and geopolitical conditions.

At the 2024 Vinasa strategic conference held in late January, promoting the semiconductor industry and green digital transformation were cited as two out of four major orientations for the association’s activities in 2024 and subsequent years.

Anticipating that semiconductors will bring great opportunities to Vietnamese digital technology firms, especially in designing and testing, Vinasa has established a committee on semiconductor development.
