The delegation consists of a total of 39 members, including 16 athletes.
The global competition will see local athletes compete in 11 sports, namely swimming, shooting, archery, cycling, boxing, judo, rowing, canoeing, weightlifting, badminton, and track-and-field.
They are due to depart for France on July 23 before returning home on August 12.
The 2024 Summer Olympics is an upcoming international multi-sport event which is set to be held from July 26 to August 11 in France, with some competitions starting on July 24. Paris is the main host city, although other events will be held in 16 other cities across France.
To date, 16 Vietnamese athletes have booked their place to compete at the 2024 Paris Olympics, including two wildcard entries in track-and-field and swimming. They are cyclist Nguyen Thi That, swimmers Nguyen Huy Hoang and Vo Thi My Tien, shooters Trinh Thu Vinh and Le Thi Mong Tuyen, weightlifter Trinh Van Vinh, canoeist Nguyen Thi Huong, rower Pham Thi Hue, badminton players Nguyen Thuy Linh and Le Duc Phat, boxers Vo Thi Kim Anh and Ha Thi Linh, archers Le Quoc Phong and Do Thi Anh Nguyet, judo fighter Hoang Thi Tinh, and runner Tran Thi Nhi Yen.
