The contest attracted nearly 3,000 competitors in Hanoi on September 24. Doan Phuong Linh, from FPT Online, won the first prize for “Flying”.
Linh said she came to the contest with some friends. Thanks to the assistance of two friends, who acted as models, Linh took only one shot and won the first prize. Linh said she has taken photos for four years.

Up to 80 percent of participants are amateur photographers. The first prize winner received a professional camera, a photo printer and an 8-day training course on photography in Australia.
With only three hours to seek, take and print photos, almost all contestants took set-up pictures.
Canon Photo Marathon was launched in 2003 and has become a regional event. The event came to Vietnam in 2006 and has attracted many Vietnamese young people. It has become an annual event in Hanoi or HCM City in August or September.
