VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Information and Communications has shut down seven news websites for violating the law.

These sites are no longer accessible. They include: zuum.vn of AEG Company; thugian.com.vn of eBiz; lamthenaoaz.vn owned by Mr. Hoang Ngoc Binh; suckhoegioitinh.edu.vn, huongdan.edu.vn, suckhoedoisong.edu.vn, and tuvantamly.edu.vn owned by Mr. Truong Trung Kien.

These websites operated as electronic news and social sites and social networks without the authorities’ permission and they provided some content not in conformity with the law.

Another news site – angiang.vnpt.vn - was also fined for publishing an article that was said to create discrimination between regions, undermining national unity. Earlier, two sites - megafun vn and baomoi.com were fined for the same behavior.

In addition, two news sites - edaily.vn and tinhay.vn – of Netlink Company will be punished for publishing some articles with inaccurate information and inappropriate comments.
