VietNamNet Bridge - Amongst the tourist trinkets of Hanoi’s Old Quarter are several shops selling old propaganda posters from the wartime, providing both history and art as souvenirs for foreign tourists.


This is a shop on Cau Go Street.











These posters were printed in the 60s, 70s and in the innovation
(Doi Moi) period. Some are not original.






Propaganda posters are priced several million dong, depending on their age.
 Buyers are mainly foreign tourists.





The shop’s owner, Ms. Dinh Thi Luong, stands next to a stamp-made portrait
of President Ho Chi Minh.






Most of the posters are re-drawn from stamps.
