VietNamNet Bridge – The Ministry of Industry and Trade is inviting both professional and amateur filmmakers to join a short film competition to support the Earth Hour 2013 campaign.

The contest aims to increase public awareness and interest in saving energy and tackling the threat of climate change. Each entry should be no longer than 10 minutes and should be focused on the themes of energy saving and climate change.

The entries should be uploaded on to the websites mediafire.com or youtube.com and the link sent to giotraidat@ipro.com.vn. Hard copy of the entries can be sent directly to the address: IPRO Image Professional Joint Stock Company, 20 Phan Dinh Phung Street, Ha Noi.

The contest will hand out a VND15-million (US$750) Special Award, a VND7-million Creative Award and a VND7-million Most Favourite Film award.

In Ha Noi, key activities to support the Earth Hour will take place at the August Revolution Square in front of the Opera House from 8pm onward on March 23.
