VietNamNet Bridge – Change/350.org Vietnam is joining forces with Global Greengrants Fund to unveil a short film titled “I don’t care” about environmental pollution and climate change, featuring local celebrities’ viewpoints.

Eight popular artists from different fields of arts with different characteristics, such as Thanh Bui, Diem My, Tien Tien, Do Hai Anh, Trong Hieu, Hoang Quyen, Alexander Tu and Bich Ngoc show their attitudes towards the lack of public awareness of severe and irredeemable problems faced by the living environment.

Apart from the celebrities, the campaign has received active responses from people in Hanoi, HCMC and Binh Thuan. They deliver a strong message on the consequences of coal-fired thermal power plants, climate change, natural disasters, and air pollution.

Vietnamese Australian singer/composer Thanh Bui says in a statement that the saying of “I don’t care” must be eliminated from people’s mind and they need to raise their voices and join hands to protect our living environment. “The silence on May 9 will lead to the destruction of the future’s environment,” he added.

The short film is expected to be screened on local social networks and at climate change conferences at universities and public places as well as on TV channels and online newspapers. In early April, the “I can’t” campaign unveiled a photo collection with the participation of artists and people to deliver a message of “Don’t let the pollution destroy your life”.
