Upon setting foot on Truong Sa (Spratly) Island, one can’t help but feel pride in the nation and be deeply affected by the great sacrifice that our martyrs made there.
Every year, the Vietnam Navy High Command deploys ships to send delegates and soldiers to visit and work at Truong Sa Island. At the end of the journey, they hold a ceremony to commemorate martyrs who laid down their lives to protect the nation's sovereignty.
Every one is moved to tears when listening to the name of each martyr being read out. They lay wreaths and flowers on the sea to commemorate them.
