VietNamNet Bridge – The high costs incurred by Vietnamese shrimp exporters on lawsuits and administrative procedures have had a discouraging effect on them.
The nation’s high anti-dumping tax on the shrimps from Vietnam at 25.76 percent has been decided by the US Department of Commerce in the eighth period of review (POR8). But Vietnamese hope they still have the chances to petition for lower tax rates.
VietNamNet Bridge – Shrimp exporters have been gearing up to fulfill the export contracts. Meanwhile, farmers refuse to sell shrimp at this moment, because they hope the prices would go up in the future.
Vietnamese seafood exporters have got off the hook after the US DOC dropped the 4.7 percent anti-dumping tax on Vietnam’s shrimp. It has also won the CVD lawsuit. The “brace” is believed to pave the way for more shrimp exports to the US market.
