The Industry Sector of Siemens Limited on Monday began a first-ever totally integrated automation (TIA) demo truck road show in Vietnam to showcase the company’s products, systems and solutions to current and potential local customers.

Erdal Elver, president and CEO of Siemens Vietnam, said the truck would stop over at more than 10 cities and provinces to demonstrate the Siemens cutting-edge technology and integrated solutions in the industrial automation for chemical, petrochemical, food and beverage, oil and gas, glass, steel, paper, automotive, water and other industries.

Elver told the Daily that through the mobile technology show, the company wanted to deliver a clear message that it would be able to provide this market with technology and solutions to aid in the top management level down to manufacturing.

“It will enable us to deliver the tailored products, solutions and services that proactively meet the crucial expectations and requirements of our customers,” Elver said. “It will help us build a more fruitful and successful business relationship with our customers, through better understanding of their needs.”

As scheduled, the truck containerized with Siemens products and solutions will stop by the HCMC University of Technology on Tuesday before heading for Can Tho, Vung Tau, Binh Duong, Dong Nai, Nha Trang, Danang, Hanoi, Thai Nguyen and Haiphong, with the last being the final stop on December 13.

Siemens Vietnam expected that the expo would attract more than 1,500 existing and potential customers from plant engineers to top executives of major relevant industries as well as over 3,000 students from technical universities in those localities.

Christian Beckers, head of Industry at Siemens Vietnam, said the show would be open to all those interested in Siemens technology. “Our truck will stop by their doors for demonstration of our latest automation technology and our entire portfolio.

“With our TIA concepts we are able to assist our customers to improve their operational productivity and efficiency as well as create competitive values for sustainable business growth.”

Elver said Siemens had put efforts into developing the marketing platform as an affirmation of its commitment to Vietnam’s market. “By maintaining a close relationship with our customers and making utmost efforts to understand their needs, Siemens will be more capable of delivering the tailored products, solutions and services for our customers.
