Founded in late 2022, the “Natural Silver Hair - Radiant Group” now has over 78,000 members. What they all share is a decision to say goodbye to chemicals and hair dye, embracing their natural silver strands as a badge of honor.
The viral photos were taken during the group’s quarterly meetup in Hanoi, which takes place every three months. These gatherings are filled with photo sessions, lively conversations about hair care tips, and discussions on how to stay healthy and beautiful in midlife.
Thoa admitted that in the past, she struggled to maintain a youthful appearance and turned to dyeing her hair to cover the silver. Over time, however, the harsh chemicals damaged her hair, weakened her scalp, and even led to signs of balding.
“I had to choose between embracing my silver hair or harming my health. I chose love,” she said.
At 50, Nguyen Thoa radiates confidence with her silver locks.
For Thoa, embracing her silver hair wasn’t just a cosmetic change - it was a personal rebirth. She learned to truly listen to herself and began living more intentionally and meaningfully.
“At this age, taking care of both body and mind is what matters most. Light exercise, balanced eating, and a joyful mindset help you glow - and when you glow, your silver hair shines too,” she added.
Now in midlife, Thoa enjoys a sense of peace and fulfillment. Rather than clinging to youth, she chooses to appreciate her current self.
To Thoa, loving oneself at every age is the essence of happiness.
“When your soul is beautiful, you’ll feel beautiful and intelligent at any age. Sometimes, just gathering with other women in the group, sharing hair care tips, beauty secrets, or ways to stay youthful, that’s already joyful living to me,” she reflected.
Today, silver hair is no longer just a sign of age - it’s a declaration of freedom and well-being. As the Radiant Group’s message goes: women are most beautiful when they are free, confident, and truly themselves.
