A Singaporean delegation led by Chief of the Republic of Singapore Air Force Major General Hoo Cher Mou is visiting Vietnam with the aim of boosting defence cooperation between the two countries.

During a courtesy call to Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA), in Hanoi on July 13, the two officers expressed their delight at sound development and effective defence cooperation between the two countries in recent years.

The Vietnam Air Force and the Air Defence Force and Singapore Air Force have often conducted exchange visits and shared experience in personnel training.

Tuan asserted that the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army will create a niche for both sides to further enhance cooperation, especially in flight safety, search and rescue, and exchanges among young officers.
