Hundreds of visitors have come to the colourfully-decorated house of Vietnamese pop star Dam Vinh Hung as he opened it for fans during Christmas.

According to the guards, the USD3m house on That Son Street, HCM City, was opened at 7 pm on December 19 but many people already lined up since 5 pm. The house will be opened for visitors from 7 pm to 10 pm until December 25.

Hung often decorates his house with many statues and lights on Christmas and let fans visit the house. The crowd then attracted many passers-by and spontaneous parking services opened nearby.

This year, the house is divided into four sections including the pine forest, cave, rose hill and the DVD signing section. The singer also went out to take pictures with the visitors.

Hung said, "I was sad last year so I didn't decorate the house. This year, I bought all the decorations from the US and it took half a month to put everything in places. However, after a tour in Europe, I didn't feel happy with the original decoration anymore and decided to rearrange everything in just a few days."

According to Hung, he only invited friends and family at first but when too many people asked to visit and take pictures of the house, he opened it for the public.

His mother visited to help manage the house.

Singer Vu Ha also visited and said, "Every time Hung arrived at the airport, people wondered why he brought so many props. But actually, they were all Christmas decorations."
