VietNamNet Bridge – Singer Ngoc Anh will share the stage with her younger brother, Anh Khang, for the first time in the capital this weekend.

Entitled Noi Nho Muon Doi Van The (Nostalgia Forever), the show's name comes from the lyrics of a song by Hanoian composer Phu Quang, who claimed the female singer "the best" performer of his songs. Phu Quang's songs helped Ngoc Anh to build her reputation.

Inheriting the musical "gene" from their father – the People's Artists and former director of the Viet Nam Tuong (classical opera) Theatre – both singers demonstrated their musical talent at a very young age.

Ngoc Anh's sweet voice conquered audiences, especially as a member of the trio 3A band during the 1990s. When the group broke up, she started her solo career. She recorded six albums, two of which featured songs of Phu Quang. The 36-year-old singer moved to settle down in the US three years ago.

Her brother, Anh Khang is currently singing with the HCM City-based Music Faces Company. The company trains and promotes various Vietnamese popular singers, including the 2007 Viet Nam Idol Phuong Vy, rocker Pham Anh Khoa, model-turned-singer Ho Ngoc Ha.

Besides the piano, which Khang started to learn when he was six-year-old, the 22-year-old singer and songwriter now plays guitar, percussion and the flute. His songs, which combine Vietnamese folk melodies and modern R&B and pop sounds, were presented in the Vietnamese Songs – a competition searching for new songs and musicians. Khang released his debut album Ai Con Cho Ai (Who Is Still Waiting for Whom) last year, in which he wore the hats of composer, singer and orchestrator.

For the weekend show, the sister-and-brother singers will perform more than 30 songs by several Vietnamese famous composers, including Phu Quang, and Trinh Cong Son. In addition, they will present self composed songs.

The show will start at 7.30pm at the Nguy Nhu Kon Tum Auditorium at 19 Le Thanh Tong Street, Ha Noi on Saturday and Sunday.
