Local authorities visit the victims' family

The information was given by labour export enterprises which connected the six Vietnamese people to work illegally for the South Korean fishing boat.
Nguyen Van Cong, 32, Nguyen Tien Ninh, 32, Nguyen Van Vien, 45, Nguyen Van Thuy, 25 and Nguyen Ngoc Loi, 24 are all from Thanh Trach Commune, Bo Trach District in the central province of Quang Binh.
Nguyen Van Phuc, 31 is from Ha Tinh Province.
Nguyen Van Lao, chairman of Thanh Trach Commune People’s Committee, Quang Binh, confirmed that the victims were local residents, adding that they are relatives and most of them are married with children. They were experienced fishermen.
Nguyen Huu Hong, vice chairman of Bo Trach District People’s Committee said South Korea was searching for the missing. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will help their victims’ family in legal procedures to bring the bodies home.
