VietNamNet Bridge – A group of six record makers of Vietnam were presented the honorary doctorate degree of the World Record University on September 21 in HCM City.

Mr. Thomas Bains presents the record making certificates for Vietnamese record makers.

Mr. Thomas Bains, Principal of the World Records University, was present at the ceremony to confer the honorary doctorate degrees for six record markers of Vietnam and five record makers of India.

Fifty others were also recognized with new records in 2013 in the fields of sculpture - painting, photography, theater, cinema, literature, music, publishing, visual arts, intellectual property - copyright ...

Some individuals were presented the title "Honoring the value of Vietnamese records," to historian Nguyen Khac Thuan, Prof. Pham Dinh Phong Vo, inventor Hoang Duc Thao, photographer Vo Van Tuong and Meritorious Artist Nguyen Van Luong.

Among the records set this time, the book "Vietnam martial arts history" is recognized as the first book on the history of Vietnamese martial arts. Martial art researcher Pham Dinh Phong said he spent 13 years to go around the country to collect materials to write this book.

In addition, the exclusive book entitled “Thi Van Yen Tu” of the Truc Lam Yen Tu monastery was also recognized for the traditional value since it contributes to promote the image of Yen Tu, the landscape and spiritual center of the country.

At the ceremony, the World Record University recognized the Vietnam Record Book Center as its representative in Vietnam. The Association of Vietnamese Record-makers was also launched.

Vietnam currently has 1,430 national records.
