VietNamNet Bridge – After a period of time under control, small ads have developed again, blurring streets in Hanoi.

Last year, Hanoi authorities abandoned hundreds of telephone numbers

on illegal small ads, and launched a campaign to abolish small ads in the city.

Hoan Kiem district authorities even offered a bonus of VND500,000 ($25)

for those who catch violators in the act.

Thanks to these measures, Hanoi’s streets became clean for a while.

However, the small ads have returned.

Small ads appear from electric box…

… to post-box…

…. Bus stop.

Streets are blurred by small ads.

Small ads are overlapped.

Most of small ads have telephone numbers of violators.

The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism has designed over 1,000 sites

for free small ads in the city, with 2-5 sites in a commune or district, but this measure is helpless.

As a result, banners appear everywhere.

Many violators have turned from pasting small ads on the wall to hanging them.

From trees to electric poles.

While officials say that it is difficult to deal with small ads, people said

that it is very easy: calling the phone numbers on the small ads and fining them.
