On January 24-26, the tourist town of Sa Pa (Lao Cai province) was completely covered with snow. As the temperatures fall below 0 degrees Celsius, people have to go out with a blanket wrapped around their body.

Frost and snow have appeared across northern mountainous provinces in recent days due to a record cold spell over the last 40 years.

On December 18, the temperatures continue to fall in the North of Vietnam. Many locations, including Sapa, one of the most famous destinations in Vietnam, were covered with frost.
