FA Hotpot restaurant on Cach Mang Thang Tam Street in District 10 only takes bookings from single people, who have to book online in advance and give basic personal information like their age, habits and interests so the restaurant can arrange a suitable 'partner'.

The name 'FA' comes from forever alone, a popular way to make jokes online about being single.

Males sit on one side and females on the other side of a table and they can dine and talk without seeing each other because of a curtain. The curtain can be removed if they want to see each other.

The restaurant owner said similar restaurants are available in other countries and they were a hit in Vietnam too, seeing as it opened in December and has received about 1,700 bookings so far.
