Smuggling cases up slightly, value doubles in 2018

On Saturday, the agency collaborated with Market Surveillance Team No 17 to inspect Hoa Toan Food Enterprise in Co Dien Ward, Dong Anh District and found a huge amount of cow legs and intestines without any certificates of origin.

According to initial findings, the food was illegally imported to be distributed to local eateries at VND6,000 to 11,000 (US 20 cents to 47 cents) per kilogram.

The forces are completing dossiers to handle the case.
