The beautiful combination of old-fashioned photos, graceful drawings and sound effects has filled the air with nostalgia.
The exhibition presents a collection of sketches, drawings and watercolour paintings created by 15 students from the Indochina College of Fine Arts (now Vietnam University of Fine Arts) and their teacher – Ferdinand de Fénis.
The artists sketched the small world of street vendors who criss-crossed the streets of the capital city, beginning their day from dawn, with a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, sweets and dishes to offer.
The daily life of Hanoi people will be revealed through the combination of light boxes, projections and installations. The street cries of the vendors will surely awaken memories in the mind.
The exhibition will run until October 31, 2019.-VNA
