A welcoming ceremony was held at the port, attended by representatives from various Vietnamese military and local agencies, including the Da Nang Department of Foreign Affairs, Naval Region 3 Command, Coast Guard Region 2, City Border Guard Command, Da Nang Port Border Gate, Military Region 5, and the Ministry of National Defense’s Department of Foreign Relations.
The Korean delegation included the Korean Defense Attaché to Vietnam, officials from the Embassy of South Korea in Hanoi, the Korean Consulate General in Da Nang, and members of the Korean expatriate community in the city.
After the welcoming ceremony, the ship’s officers invited guests aboard for a tour.
The visit is part of efforts to enhance bilateral friendship and trust and aligns with the Vietnam–South Korea Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, upgraded in December 2022.
During the four-day visit, the ship’s leadership is expected to pay courtesy calls to Da Nang city leaders, Military Region 5, and Naval Region 3 Command, participate in professional exchanges, sports activities, and cultural tours in Da Nang.
