VietNamNet Bridge - After four days in HCM City to learn about the culture and people of Vietnam, more than 300 young representatives from ASEAN countries, who were on board of the Southeast Asian youth ship had emotional farewell moments with Saigon’s people.



More than 1,000 people were present at the Saigon port to see delegates of
the Southeast Asian Youth ship off on the afternoon of November 12.





Representatives from 11 countries on the ship appeared and
 waved at Vietnamese people.





Ron and Apple, two representatives of the Philippine delegation took
Vietnamese conical hats with them. They said they were so impressed
with the enthusiastic welcome and hospitality of the Vietnamese people.




The Vietnamese delegation appeared in the cheers of more than
1,000 young people. The volunteers did not stop singing the song
"I love Vietnam from my heart" to welcome the representatives of the host country.




Miss Teen Vietnam 2010 Nguyen Lam Diem Trang (left)  is one of the 29
representatives of Vietnam. On her blog, Trang, a student of the HCM
City International University, constantly updated interesting information about the
journey on the SSEAYP, attracting the attention of many young people.




The lotus dance of Vietnamese girls impressed international
friends at the farewell ceremony.




After the solemn ceremony, delegates said goodbye to HCM City’s people.





Vu Thi Anh Tuan (Ho Chi Minh City University of Foreign Languages
 and Computer Science) hugged her mother and cried.




Representatives of the Japanese delegation waved Vietnamese friends.




Lao representatives could not stop tears when saying goodbye to warm
 and hospitable Vietnamese people.




The Saigon port was decorated with ribbons. When the ship
 left the dock, the ribbon would be released until it is broken down.





Many people waved and saw the Fuji Maru ship off. According to the schedule,
the ship will visit Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia and Brunei before finally
lands in Japan on December 14.
The Southeast Asia youth ship is an annual cultural exchange program
organized by Japan for countries in the region to strengthen and tighten
 friendship and solidarity among ASEAN countries and creating
opportunities for young people with an open view and international exchanges.
