At the 15th Congress of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (2025-2030 term), Tran Cam Tu, Standing Member of the Party Secretariat, emphasized the need to research and propose special mechanisms for identifying and utilizing talent.
He noted that in the coming years, rapid and unpredictable changes at home and abroad will bring significant challenges. Strategic decisions on organizational structure, the operation of two-tier local governments, and improvements to institutions and policies are being implemented intensively, posing new demands for theoretical research, policy consultation, and the training of officials.
Tu called on the Academy’s Party Committee to maintain unity, responsibility, and collective intelligence, to innovate in leadership and management, and to build the Academy into a model Party school. Faculty and Party members should set examples in teaching, research, and service, promoting Party values and culture.
The Academy must excel in its two main missions: innovating and improving the quality of training for leaders and managers, with a learner-centered approach, and strengthening scientific research to develop the Party’s ideological foundation, providing evidence-based policy advice for the Party and State. This includes building a team of exemplary, highly skilled lecturers proficient in digital technologies and capable of working in an international environment.
Tu stressed the need to establish a dual teaching core - renowned “expert lecturers” with practical experience and respected reputations, alongside full-time faculty - to strengthen the unity between theory and practice. The Academy should also work closely with ministries, agencies, and local authorities.
Beyond its academic role, the Academy should actively participate in major socio-economic programs through research and direct policy consultation, making this a central mission in the new period.
Quoting Party General Secretary To Lam’s guidance, Tu urged the Academy to remain a “red address” for cultivating Party qualities, political courage, and the ideals of a communist official. Staff and students should embody President Ho Chi Minh’s words inscribed in the school’s golden book: “Learn to work, to be a person, to be an official. Learn to serve the collective, the class, the people, the Fatherland, and humanity.”
