VietNamNet Bridge – Long road drivers have said they now have “magic wand” which can help them deceive policemen. This is a hi-tech device allowing to give warnings from a distance and to intervene the signal of the police’s speed gun.

In an effort to minimize the number of accidents and the risks lurking drivers on the roads, scientists have invented a speed gun, with which the police can gather evidence to prove the violations of the vehicle drivers.

However, speed freaks also have the specific devices to neutralize the speed guns and claim their innocence – the engine that discovers speed gun.

Nguoi dua tin’s reporters, who accompanied the director of a car import company in a business trip, discovered a strange device installed on the cabin. The device had the lamps flickering and sometimes it emits the sounds “beep.” The director then explained to the reporters that this was the equipment to detect the wave from the police’s speed gun.

The director also said that this is a smart device carried to Vietnam across the border gates by individuals, not through official channels. “This can discover the appearance of the police and the speed guns, and then give warning to the drivers about the risks,” he said.

Under the current laws, on highways or expressways, a passenger car must not run at above 60 kilometers per hour. However, a lot of drivers still like driving fast at 100 or 120 kilometers.

When a passenger warned the driver of a coach about the overly high speed, the driver reassured the passenger that he would be okay, because he has a “smart device” which can discover the policemen within a radius of two kilometers.

“Especially, the device can break the wave of the speed guns,” he added.

Trung Tuan, a driver, who carries cargo on the North-South route, said that with just 100-250 dollars, a driver would be able to buy a “smart toy” which can protect them against the police.

“All kinds of speed guns, including the state of the art Pro Laser III, would be neutralized by the smart device,” Tuan said.

“It’s very simple to use the device. You just need to turn it on. When you receive alarm signal, you just need to reduce your speed to be able to escape from the police,” Tuan explained.

Experts have pointed out that in foreign countries, the smart device was designed to help drivers drive their cars more safely. However, after arriving in Vietnam, the device has been improved to turn into the tool to cope with the traffic police.

Tuan said that the devices can also break the wave of the speed guns. “In this case, the police still can see on the gun’s screen a car running very fast, but there is no exact figure about the speed displayed,” Tuan said.

Meanwhile, it’s so easy to hide the smart device, because the device is as small as a match box.

Being a hi-tech device, but the products have been available at all automobile part shops. One can also search on Google to find out the shops which sell the devices.

Minh Trung, director of a media company, said he is very satisfied with the “match box” he has bought. “You would rather to pay some million dong on the device to stay safe, rather than suffering constant anxiety about the police,” he said.

The market of the devices designed for car drivers to cope with the police has always been very bustling. When asked about the devices against the speed gun, a shop owner showed different models. One of them looks like a computer mouse, which can break the wave of the speed gun. Others look like iPhones, which are very small and portable
