Disabled athletes win three golds at Dortmund badminton tourney
Two disabled Vietnamese athletes have won three gold medals at the 10th International Para-Badminton Tournament held in Dortmund, Germany.
Hoang Pham Thang and Nguyen Duc Chung won a gold medal each during the men's singles and the overall championship in the men's doubles.
The event drew a record number of 120 players from South America, Asia, Oceania, Europe, Brazil, Macau and Viet Nam.
The next major event for para-badminton players will be the Para-Badminton World Championships to be hosted by Guatemala City in late November.

Contestants compete for 54 sets of medals in both kumite (combat) and kata (performance) disciplines.
The tourney lasts until next Tuesday.
Following the end of the five-day event, the best martial artists will be selected to represent the national youth team.
Second world vovinam championship to start
Over 200 athletes from 20 countries and territories will participate in the second World Vovinam Championship scheduled to kick off in HCM City's Phu Tho Gymnasium on July 27.
The tournament, which runs until July 31, aims to introduce Vietnamese martial arts to the world.
In preparation for this event, the World Vovinam Federation and Viet Nam Vovinam Federation will hold a technique training and international referee class from July 25-27.
Vovinam, established in 1938 by martial artist Nguyen Loc, is a quintessential form based on traditional martial arts. Vovinam is now becoming popular in 40 countries and territories, particularly in the US, the Netherlands, Canada and France.
Viet Nam beat Jordan to progress in Olympic qualifiers
The Vietnamese women's football team defeated Jordan by 1-0 during the second qualifying round for the 2012 London Olympics on Wednesday.
Viet Nam controlled the match, but failed to score any goals during the first half.
Substitute striker Nguyen Thi Hoa scored the only goal for Viet Nam in the 67th minute of the second half.
After two matches, Thailand and Viet Nam both have six points, although Thailand is still ranked first due to goal differences.
Viet Nam is scheduled to meet Uzbekistan, who lost to Thailand by 1-5, today and Thailand on Sunday.
The winner from this round will join Japan, China, North Korea, South Korea and Australia in the final qualification round to take place from September 1-11 where the six teams will play in a one-round league format. The top two teams from the final round of qualifiers will represent Asia at the 2012 London Olympics.
Kick boxers set to clash at second National Clubs Cup
More than 100 kick boxers are set to compete at the second National Clubs Cup Muay (kickboxing) Tournament scheduled to take place in Ha Noi on June 23-30.
The first event, organised in HCM City's Rach Mieu Gymnasium last October, attracted 150 athletes from 15 clubs in 12 cities and provinces nationwide.
Hosts HCM City took nine gold, four silver and one bronze medal, followed by Ba Ria-Vung Tau with one gold, one silver and five bronze medals and Da Nang with one gold, one silver and three bronze medals.
