Viet Nam to take part in World Rowing Champs
A boat from Viet Nam will participate in the World Rowing Championships to be held in Slovakia from August 26 to September 4, with the goal of qualifying for the 2012 London Olympics.

At the recent ASEAN Rowing Championships, Viet Nam triumphed with six golds, two silvers and one bronze.
HCM City win National Youth Taekwondo Championship
HCM City's men's team won the National Youth Taekwondo Championships in the southern province of Binh Thuan, bringing home nine gold, five silver and four bronze medals.
Ha Noi's team came in second with five golds, one silver and six bronzes, while third place went to Tay Ninh with three golds, four silvers and one bronze.
On the women's side, Binh Thuan took the lead with five golds, two silvers and seven bronzes, followed by HCM City and Tien Giang.
More than 400 athletes from 23 teams nation-wide competed in the six-day tournament.
National teen tennis event to kick off in HCM City
Around 150 young athletes are set to compete at the National Teenager Tennis Championship which is scheduled to be held in HCM City's Phu Tho Gymnasium on Sunday.
The participants will be divided into age groups of U10, U12, U14, U16 and U18 to compete in both boy's and girl's singles and doubles events.
The annual event aims to get teenagers interested and engaged in tennis.
Coach Hung takes temporary charge of VN volleyball team
Coach Nguyen Manh Hung took interim charge of the national men's volleyball team after Brazilian coach Augusto Sabbatini failed a two-month trial in Ha Noi, according to the Volleyball Federation of Viet Nam (VFV).
VFV's General Secretary Tran Duc Phan said that the federation would soon recruit a foreign coach in preparation for the Southeast Asian Games in Indonesia this November.
Hung, who coaches the Trang An Ninh Binh team, will take up the vacant position as long as the VFV contract a new coach.
