Amateurs chase $200,000 in Toyota golf bonanza
The 2010 Toyota Golf Tournament, which will tee off at the Viet Nam Golf and Country Club next Saturday, will offer total prize money of more than US$200,000.

The event will be based on official handicaps and divided into five divisions.
The organisers will award trophies and prizes for best net scorer, first runner-up, and second runner-up in each division, the best gross among both men and ladies, and longest drive and nearest to the pin in the men's and ladies' divisions.
Special prizes of one Fortuner V and one Toyota Altis cars will be awarded for a hole-in-one.
Binh Duong warm up in preparation for BTV Cup
Two-time V-League football champions Becamex Binh Duong drew 1-1 with Xuan Thanh Sai Gon in a friendly in HCM City on Tuesday.
The match is a warm-up for the annual BTV Number One Cup, which kicks off on Friday.
A new-look Binh Duong side, featuring new signings Timothy Anjembe, American-Vietnamese Lee Nguyen and Brazilian Leandro De Olivera, meet Uganda's Express Club in the opening match of the BTV Cup on Friday.
The tournament features eight teams including Thailand's Chonburi, Uganda's Express, Brazil team Mutsubara and French team Etoile and four Vietnamese teams.
Teams play in a round robin format in two groups with the top two teams qualifying for semi-finals.
11th run for children scheduled for Sunday
A Run for the Children around Thien Quang Lake, Ha Noi, on Sunday will raise money for needy youngsters in the Paediatric Hospital, Heart Hospital and Heart Beat Vietnam.
The 11th Terry Fox Run is expected to draw thousands of participants.
About 43,000 people have supported the run and contributed more than VND3 billion (US$150,000) for children stricken with cancer and heart disease during the past ten years.
Prospective participants can register at web site www.runforchildrenhanoi.org or at the venue on Sunday morning.
Golfers set to tee off at matchplay tourney
Over 144 golfers will compete in the Viet Nam National Matchplay Championship at the Mongomerie Links golf course in the central province of Quang Nam on December 1-5, the Viet Nam Golf Association said yesterday, Nov 17.
Competitors will compete in six men's and women's divisions with a handicap from nine to 24.
The organisers are offering a US$22,000 prize for hole-in-one. All players should register to compete at the tournament office for the Montgomerie Links International Division.
