Kickboxers get ready for combat at National Muay Clubs Cup
Around 100 athletes are set to participate in the National Muay (kick-boxing) Clubs Cup Tournament held in Ha Noi on June 25-30.
HCM City will send their best athletes, including Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat, Le Ba Phuc and Phan Thi Ngoc Linh, to defend their titles.
The athletes from HCM City dominated last year's event, winning nine gold, four silver and one bronze medal.
Ba Ria-Vung Tau and Da Nang ended as runners-up.
Chess players triumph at ASEAN youth tournament in Indonesia

Indonesia ended in second place with 17 gold, 25 silver and 23 bronze medals while the Philippines came in third with 17 gold, 19 silver and 25 bronze medals.
The Vietnamese team consisted of 70 chess players among which Huynh Hai Him, Lu Chan Hung, Vu Thi Dieu Ai and Vo Thi Kim Phung performed the best.
The event drew more than 300 players from India, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, the Philippines, Chinese Taipei, Singapore, Indonesia, and Viet Nam.
Japanese firm sponsors Vietnamese football teams
The JCB International Company, a major Japanese trademark and credit card firm, has inked a two-year contract with the Viet Nam Football Federation to sponsor the national and Olympic football teams.
Under the contract, the JCB will provide financial assistance to both teams as they prepare for the 2014 World Cup, 2012 London Olympics and 26th Southeast Asian Games qualifiers.
Through its sponsorship programme, the JCB plans to expand its business activities in Viet Nam's credit payment market sector amongst others.
