Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA) on Friday won the national U-17 championships after routing Dong Tam Long An (DTLA) 7-2 in the final match at Tu Do Stadium, Hue City.

This is the seventh time SLNA have won the competition that has a history of just nine years.
National team readies for friendlies
Viet Nam plan to play friendlies with Malaysia and Indonesia in September as part of their preparations for the Southeast Asia Football Championships to be held in Malaysia and Thailand this December.
The squad will convene in September and train for one week before flying to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to play with the host nation's team.
The second friendly with Indonesian national team will be played in Jakarta four days later.
The return friendlies will be played at My Dinh National Stadium in Ha Noi against Indonesia on September 22 and Malaysia on November 3.
Viet Nam have been drawn in Group A of the regional contest along with Thailand, the Philippines and the winner of the qualifying rounds played by Brunei, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Timor-Leste.
Japan win woman's event
Japan won the International Women's Volleyball Tournament-VTV Eximbank Cup after defeating North Korea 3-0 in the final in the northern province of Vinh Phuc on Saturday.
In the play-off match for third place, South Korea beat Viet Nam 3-2.
The champions took home US$8,000 while the second and third place teams received $5,000 and $3,000, respectively.
The event attracted eight teams who were divided into groups A and B. They competed in a round-robin format to decide the top two teams from each group for the semi-finals.
The competition was launched in 2004 and won by Viet Nam in 2007, 2009 and 2010.
