Binh Duong want sixth contract with coach Hai

V-League champion Becamex Binh Duong hope to retain coach Le Thuy Hai whose contract expires at the end of this month.

In case both parties agree, it will be the sixth time that Hai will be retained as coach of the team.

"I am happy in Binh Duong, but whether I stay here or not will depend on our meeting later," Hai said.

Meanwhile Nguyen Minh Son, chairman of the board of directors of Binh Duong Football Jointstock Company was quoted as saying on bongdaplus.vn: "Hai is a special one. We want him to continue with the team. If it is okay we could sign a long-term contract with him, for three years, five years or 10 years. In short, we want him to stay here until he is still well. He could even go to the field leaning against a stick to guide our players."

Hai, 68, came back to Binh Duong after the fourth round of the V-League when the team had earned only one point and led them to a third title, one round before the tournament ended.

Hai also coached Binh Duong to win their previous trophies in 2007 and 2008.
