VietNamNet Bridge – Khanh Hoa province has proposed the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to recognize sovereignty steles on Truong Sa (Spratly) Island District as national relics.
Vietnamese built sovereignty steles on Song Tu Tay and Nam Yet islands, part of the Truong Sa Island District a very long time ago, to confirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Spratly Islands.
The steles are also valuable in terms of architecture and culture.
The authorities of Khanh Hoa province, which manages the Truong Sa Island District, recognized these steles as provincial historical relics last year.
