Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung, Head of the Communications Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, has signed and promulgated a communication plan to combat the Covid-19 epidemic with the message "Live calmly to fight the epidemic over the long term”.

Based on the directions of the Prime Minister, who is also Head of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control, the Communications Subcommittee issues a communication plan on a weekly basis in accordance with the anti-epidemic scenario and plans of provinces and cities that are implementing social distancing.

This plan can be adjusted to suit the situation and the directives of the Government, the Prime Minister and the specific situation and developments in the fight against the epidemic of localities.

One of the requirements set by the Communications Subcommittee in the communication plan for provinces and cities implementing social distancing measures is to clarify the message and viewpoint: we cannot expect to completely eliminate the virus from the community and resume normal life.

Successfully fighting the epidemic is protecting people's lives and to protect production, business, trade, travel, and economy.

The fight against the epidemic is still long, but it is necessary to have new solutions, criteria and priorities so that the people of the whole country can live calmly and fight the epidemic together, without perfectionism, without haste.

The subcommittee also wants to convey the message that reflects optimism and the hope of being able to live calmly and cope with the epidemic for a long time.

This occurs when patients are cared for properly and early in the community and family (thanks to the model of ‘welfare medicine bags’).

It is based on technology-based travel control solution + testing + vaccination used by forces to ensure essential services (health care activities, charity, food supply chain, medicine, medical equipment, oxygen, other essential services such as electricity, water...).

It is hope that life is to return to "new normal" with strict and flexible solutions to prevent and control the epidemic, ensuring no "break", no distance, no blockade on the whole area, not passively waiting, or relying on the State.

The Communications Subcommittee also noted the transmission of messages and ability to be self-reliant, and solve life's problems on their own in the context of the pandemic.

Specifically, each individual, each family, each enterprise, each village… helps themselves, their family members, and their employees with essential needs, creating many "small circles" to protect each other during the pandemic.

On the same day, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung signed a Decision on working regulations and assigning tasks to members of the Communications Subcommittee of the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control.

The Communication Sub-Committee has six Deputy Heads, including: Editor-in-Chief of the People's Newspaper Le Quoc Minh; General Director of the Vietnam Television Le Ngoc Quang; General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy, a Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Committee; Deputy Minister of Health Do Xuan Tuyen; and the General Director of Vietnam News Agency.
