The annual Spring Fair will kick off at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts (VECCA) in Hanoi on February 2, providing visitors with the chance to enjoy the early atmosphere of Tet (lunar New Year) festival.
A cottage will be installed at the fair to recreate a traditional space for Tet of the Vietnamese people in the past.
During the week-long event, the VECCA will be redecorated to recreate a traditional space for Tet from Vietnamese people in the past through the installation of a cottage, a lotus pond, and a five-fruit tray for Tet.
Artisans from traditional craft villages nationwide will display their skills and introduce the art of making paper flowers from Thanh Tien village, Hue city; bamboo dragonflies from Thach That district, Hanoi; lanterns from Thuong Tin district, Hanoi and conical hats from Chuong village, Thanh Oai district, Hanoi.
There will also be a display of ornamental plants and 100 photos showcasing the natural beauty and cultural heritages of Vietnam.
Visitors to the fair will be able to taste a variety of specialties from rural areas and enjoy water puppetry performances, circus acts, and folk songs and dances.
