Chairman of the Central Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan yesterday visited athlete Vietnamese sprinter Nguyen Thi Huyen who is the first to be selected to compete in 2016 Olympics at her home town in Nam Dinh province.

Nguyen Thi Huyen was born in 1993 at Nam Dinh’s Y Yen district, who is an undergraduate student of the Sport University No. 1 (Tu Son, Bac Ninh province), snatched a gold medal at the 28th SEA Games and two gold medals at the 2015 Asian Grand Prix in Thailand.
At the meeting, Chairman Nguyen Thien Nhan honored her outstanding contribution and achievement in the previous time, and presented a deposit book worth VND 400 million to Nguyen Thi Huyen.
Nguyen Thi Huyen owns total 27 gold, three silver medals and one bronze medal. Besides, she set two world records to become the first Vietnamese track and field athlete to win an Olympic ticket to Brazil next year.
After the meeting, Nguyen Thi Huyen will return to National Sports Training Center Hanoi to join in a training course.
