The stamp was released under a project endorsed by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MoIT) along with the Vietnam Post Corporation and the APEC 2017 National Committee.

Designed by painter To Minh Trang of the Vietnam Post Corporation, the stamp represents the logo of APEC Vietnam 2017 in the centre with the background featuring the image of the globe with an aim to highlight the significant role and position of the forum to the world’s economy.

The lower part of the stamp carries signature images of Vietnam’s major cities including Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, which will host important meetings for Vietnam APEC 2017.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, MoIT Truong Minh Tuan said that the stamp visualised the theme of 2017 APEC ‘Creating new dynamism, fostering a shared future’, thus contributing to the sustainable development and prosperity of APEC.
